Pastoral Care and Discipline

Every child is unique and precious in the sight of God, therefore each individual in the school is shown how to work and play alongside each individual with mutual respect and care. This is explored through our Worship and Religious Education policies.

Children are expected to be polite, good mannered and considerate to each other at all times. They must learn to share the attention of adults and friends, take turns with equipment and listen to each other.

Positive reinforcement encourages children to respond appropriately. Children feel that we are committed to them and their success. It is the class teacher who will initially work with a child to discuss inappropriate behaviour and steps forward. If this behaviour persists the Headteacher will be involved and will contact the child's parents if appropriate.
